I have had the ATOTO S8 MS 7" double din installed in my Alpha Romeo for some time now. This is actually my third Atoto head unit so I am familiar with this product. My car is too precious to install a back up cam however and all the extra. The MS is a great entry/mid level unit. Coming from the S8 Gen 2 pro ( first batch with intel processor however ), i knew i would be missing some of the high end features, mainly that ultra pre-amp (things like optical audio i dont use). But i bought this for one upgraded feature, wireless and wired AA/CP. I have also used a sony headset etc so i feel like im quite experience so hopefully i can give a balanced view.Things i like about the ATOTO S8 MS:-form factor...the screen size is working out nicely for me and the touch screen is convenient. i like 7inch double din, but this is actually 7 inch so the fact the screen is centred make my OCD extremely happy now.-physical buttons AT THE BOTTOM, this is the atoto way. It makes sense to have button on the bottom so you can sell in right or left hand markets however most products come with the buttons on the left side while we drive on the right in the UK- sound quality is great, volume is good, yes just good. For me, i like music quite loud so this is personal to me. 29rms on the unit i had before seemed like a gimmick, but now using the 24rms version in this unit i would spend the extra money for the ultra pre amp. for the average person though the DSP and power output is more than enough and more than what i got with the sony head unit.- option with this unit are endless, TPMS, back up cam, dash cam, wifi hotspot, 4g. This can make an old car last a few years extra.- accessories are elite level, you get ISO connectors A and B type plus a normal connection harness. it took me 10 minutes to swap this unit out even with the different connections. screen protectors as well!- steering wheel controls are completely fix!! my last unit had a issue that the SWC sensor was not good enough and mixed up buttons. this has been fine-Customer Support is amazing! I know the people in support and they got me covered with any issue i hadThings i don't like:- no sd card on this one, you can use usb stick but i liked the option of sd card. its very small though.- no quick charge, i would have loved this honestly. the option to fast charge my phone will using wireless car play means i can arrive with a higher battery or partner can charge up quickly on long drives.- only one usb external. This one is for a fully loaded set up, usb TPMS, usb DAB, and maybe usb stick. i know this is a cheaper model but i will just say what i don't like so maybe you will decide you need the next model up.If these feature matter to you a lot, especially the more powerful amplifier, consider spending a bit extra to get the most out of your money. PRO or Ultras for literally all the bells and whistles
