Atoto brand is a Great affordable radio

This is my second Atoto radio. I am replacing my S8 standard with this X10. This radio doesn’t come with an actual instruction manual because the company is trying to help the environment by saving a few trees so it has a QR code to scan that takes you to videos and instructions to help you out with installation. Upon looking at the wiring since I already had an Atoto radio I found that I didn’t have to replace the main wiring harness because it was the same plug. But if you are starting fresh I suggest you get a wiring harness adapter specifically for your car so you won’t have to cut any wires from the factory harness and everything will plug right up once wired to the Atoto harness. And if you aren’t knowledgeable on how to do radio wiring I would also suggest you might want to take it to a professional shop to have everything installed correctly. On this model you can do updates over WiFi instead of like the older ones where you needed to put it on an SD card and upload it manually. That was the first thing I checked and updated the radio which took about 45 minutes downloading and install time. This X10 came with an external dash cam that I haven’t installed yet due to my windshield is cracked and you have to use the sticky 3M tape to apply it. And I didn’t want to do that because it would have to be removed to install a new windshield. I am thinking of a way I can use it without sticking to the window at the moment. I watched a YouTube video on the camera and it looks to have a pretty good picture quality. So far this new X10 is a big jump from the S8 I had. I could immediately tell the sound quality was better. It has a built in EQ like the S8 but it has a lot more options for fine tuning and also preinstalled presets you can choose from like Rock, Classical, Pop, Hall, Jazz, Cinema to use for different music styles or you can make two custom settings of your own which I really like. The OLED screen is awesome and touchscreen is very responsive. I have used my fingers and a stylus on the screen and both work great for navigating through everything. I have Apple play and my phone connected easily through Bluetooth on e you allow it on your phone and the radio to communicate and also this radio allows two Bluetooth devices to be connected at the same time so you have two phones or a phone and another device of your choice. This radio has an app that uses ChatGP so you can tell it commands to do stuff like volume or go to your navigation. And you can also ask it questions and it will give it’s best answer. I haven’t set that up yet but saw another customers video using it and it seems pretty neat. I have the external steering wheel controller from my other S8 Atoto and it connected right up to this one so I can control music on my steering wheel. And they also sell a TPMS tire air sensor kit for these radios and there is an app on the radio to see you air pressures if you don’t have that from the factory. I plan on getting that some day since my car isn’t equipped with TPMS. I have an amp and subwoofer connected to the radio also and it works flawlessly and sounds good so the preamp wattage seems to be up to par. Also forgot that it has a better GPS antenna and WiFi antenna on this model. And if you get the camera it has an external USB wire that you need to put a flash drive on to save the recoded video. I know there is a lot more stuff I will learn as I use it but that’s most so far. If you want a radio that has all the stuff the big name brands have on them and I think more in my opinion for a way more affordable price give this Atoto X10 a try. You won’t be disappointed.

    A worthy upgrade

I was happy with the S8 in my 2009 Honda Fit Sport, but I wanted something faster and more customizable. The X10G2B7E didn’t disappoint! It’s like having a tablet as a car stereo. It’s much more responsive and faster than the S8, and the customization for the home screen is endless. As an Android user, I’m familiar with the Google Play Store, which offers a lot of apps that you can download. With 128GB of storage, you can download a lot of apps!I mostly use Android Auto, and even though it’s a wireless connection, it connects pretty fast (see video). I actually prefer a wireless connection because I don’t like to overcharge my battery. Once my phone is fully charged, I can unplug it, and it won’t affect the connection.I bought it with the front camera and was initially hesitant about the quality. After I set it up and plugged it in, I immediately removed my old camera. The dual Bluetooth connectivity option is nice. When my husband and I are driving, we can switch playlists on Spotify without having to disconnect his phone to listen to mine. It’s not a must-have, but definitely a nice feature. There are a few other features this unit offers, but I haven’t tried them all out yet. I will say that a couple of things are missing: there’s no steering wheel controller accessory, nor is there a microphone you can plug into the back. I reached out to their customer service about this (which they are great at responding with detailed answers and instructions), and they assured me that these are in production and should be available soon.Overall, I would highly recommend this if you are in the market for an aftermarket stereo unit. This is the one you should get!

A great radio with great support

Since this product is new there may be kinks in some users experiences. I was suprised at how the ui isn't built around android but can do everything an android can do as well as maintaining a factory style car radio UI look. It boots up super quickly and has both wireless carplay and android auto. The screen comes with screen protectors and the display quality is that of a higher end tv. It comes with torque built in and you can monitor tire pressures using the atoto tire sensors you can find on their website. You can also run mood lighting with the strips you can find on their website. Being able to download offline maps and music for when I have no service and no phone is a good peace of mind. The means for customization is 10 fold compared to other radios I use. Support is quick to answer any questions I have. I'm using a google pixel 6a to connect with android auto. Having front and rear cameras to record and monitor is a great touch. This radio is a powerhouse. It's an entertainer. A money saver. And depending on the situation a life saver. Atoto is a trusted brand in my books as I have had several radios from them and one even withstood a 65 mph front end collision. I'm not afraid to say that especially with the future updates, this product will exceed your expectations. Atoto is my one stop shop for radios.

Do not look elsewhere! Buy ATOTO!

TL;DR: This is the best stereo that is currently on the market with legitimate product support! Don’t give into the temptation to purchase those cheap, inexpensive, unbranded Android stereos that are all over the market! They are slower than you’d expect and the sellers do not stand behind their product! My Android stereo journey:I used to have an older Android 4.4 stereo that I purchased 6 years ago, which worked decently. It was definitely an upgrade over the stock stereo on my 2002 Acura RSX Type-S. However, it was one of those that had to boot up for 35 seconds before you can use it and the performance was alright—it had a 1-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot that supported up to 32GB cards. The main music player that I use is Rocket Player and this older stereo took about 20 seconds to open the app, so it would take me a little over a minute to start playing music before driving off. Then I decided to upgrade my stereo in May 2024 and I purchased one of those inexpensive Android 13 stereos from eBay. I looked through many listings and found a stereo that has a 4-core CPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage for about $90. Aside from reorganizing the audio cables in my car and redoing some necessary audio setup, I had to create extra holes on the stock stereo tray and file out the edges on the front plate cutout to fit the stereo. My first impression was that this stereo seemed promising, but that went downhill soon after. I liked that the new stereos offered today go into a sleep mode when the Accessory signal is removed and that they are ready to use instantly when the Accessory signal is reintroduced. However, this stereo took 1-2 minutes to open Rocket Player and it took Rocket Player 40 minutes to scan my 48GB library of music! Even with higher specs than my older stereo, this was much slower and I had issues with music skipping. It also had volume issues along with a few other bugs. That eBay seller was responsive and genuinely tried to help me out, but there were issues with shipping it back as well. The return delivery failed for the address that he gave me and I had to pay the return shipping the second time, which also failed, and then I had to pay the return shipping a third time to another address. Then I received a replacement stereo with updated firmware and had to create new mounting holes because the screw holes were in different positions! All of those bugs were fixed with the new firmware, but the stereo was still slow! I asked the eBay seller about the performance issue and he offered to provide firmware to resolve the issue. I’m comfortable with doing these kinds of tasks, so I took on the task to update the firmware. However, the stereo ended up getting corrupted during the update and I didn’t hear from that seller again! No response! It was fortunate that I didn’t lose a great deal of money, but it was a lot of time wasted on that garbage stereo. Then I frantically searched for a legit Android stereo, but I was not finding it! I can’t tell you how many cheap, inexpensive garbage Android stereos are out there on the market! I literally spent 2 hours using various keywords to find something worth purchasing and I finally stumbled upon ATOTO. Featuring an 8-core CPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB, this seemed like the best unit on the market. The price point is much higher than all the others, but I knew that a good product won’t be cheap. I did some research on ATOTO stereos and found some car forums where people said that the ATOTO stereos are really good. It was a big investment, but I closed my eyes and purchased the stereo by faith. He who trusts in the Lord shall not be ashamed, and that was my experience with the ATOTO stereo!First off, as you can see in the picture, this actually looks like a stereo! It’s larger, which provides better cooling, and there were no issues with mounting since it has all the standard mounting configurations. I noticed that the screen was slightly smaller than the front plate cutout, but it would have fit nicely if I didn’t file out the cutout to fit the cheap stereo. Fortunately, ATOTO has provided a frame that filled in most of that gap!The ATOTO stereo has RCA inputs/outputs built into the stereo! I have RCA cables between the stereo and the amp, so no more soldering RCA cables to the stereo plug! I can connect the RCA cables for audio and the reverse camera directly into the stereo! Also, the subwoofer outputs actually work! The last two stereos had a subwoofer-out connection, but it never worked! The ATOTO stereo has Left and Right subwoofer-out RCA outputs that are functional, so no more splicing the signal input from the rear speakers! And performance?! The ATOTO stereo opens Rocket Player within several seconds and the library scan takes up to about 8 minutes, and I am overjoyed with this performance! This is literally 10x faster than the other cheap stereos that flood the market! And along with the quick startup when turning ...

A Fast, Full-Featured and Well-Supported Double-din Android Head Unit. Just BUY IT!

Wow! This ATOTO X10 is a high-quality, startlingly-fast [Android] Head Unit... it feels perfect for anyone wanting to update their ride with CarPlay, etc. It has enough internal amp power to make four car door speakers sound good; or it can serve as the foundation of a top-shelf car audio installation for the tech-savvy audiophile! A shopper on a tight budget should go ahead and spring for this, then add a decent amp and speaker upgrades, or a powered subwoofer, when they can afford to (and they're sure that such things are actually needed :-).The X10 is my 2nd ATOTO android head unit. I purchased this new one because the first, an ATOTO A6 Pro, was well supported by responsive Tech Support folks and a few updates. While the A6 is slow by today's android device standards, its core "car stereo functions" work great and have remained rock-solid-stable for 5 years (so far). Seriously, in 5 years, I only had to push the discreet front-facing reset button 1 time (I blame a non-ATOTO app for that one)!So yeah, I came back to this more expensive ATOTO for the '05 Lexus ES330 I'd just gotten, after first trying a super 'cheap and easy' 9" Android Head Unit (a Mekede M400S) wrapped in a custom Dash Kit with plug-and-play connections to my car's factory amp and speakers (even the steering wheel controls!). I was impressed with its easy install and the sound was OK, but I had lost the balance & fader controls of the OEM head unit and I had zero means of adjusting the stock subwoofer under the rear windsheild. Also, the reseller's support responses were about as satisfying as Google searches and combing through forum postings (disappointing but not unexpected and I'm comfortable with puzzling things out). I decided to replace the Lexus's weak factory amp with a Soundstream Picaso Nano 5-channel class-D amp that would easily power my (nice heavy Pioneer made-in-japan) factory speakers and passive subwoofer, while fitting in right near the factory amp behind the glove box for easy access to the factory speaker wires. It was about at this point that I happened to put on my sunglasses while driving with Google Maps navigation on the M400S's pretty 9" 1280x720 display (see bigger-screen pic). I saw that the M400S's screen contents mostly DISAPPEARED behind my polarized lenses when viewed from my driving position! Shortly after that deal-breaker, I ordered the ATOTO X10 and the 5-channel amp.Today, even though the Metra standard 7" double-din dash kit for my car only comes in the wrong color, I'm MUCH happier with the ATOTO - no regrets! Some things I like about ATOTO's new X10 flagship: - All the modern wireless CarPlay & Android Auto stuff - Dual Bluetooth - simultaneous smartphone and ODBII connections - A beautiful screen (that's clearly visible while wearing sunglasses!) - Decent internal amp power; also quality analogue AND digital line-outs - Solid & well-designed construction - The latest Android 13 (underneath ATOTO's feature-packed firmware). - Seriously... LOTS of advanced features and expansion options (still discovering)! - Speed Sensitive Volume Control literally rocks! From city streets to the left lane of the freeway, the music level is consistent! - A proper 'Download & Install' Firmware Update Process (I just received an update yesterday; the process worked great and without a dern thumb drive :-)! - ATOTO support - I've only ever used email with some timezone delays, but they're good in several languages. My only gripe is easily fixed: ATOTO went with 100% online documentation for this head unit, whereas it really needs to include a concise printed Installation Guide that also describes the X10's REQUIRED onscreen Settings Configuration process for a system with more than 2 or 4 speakers (output options in the EQ app, though powerful, can be hard to find without a pointer). I'm all for saving trees and prefer digital docs for most products that need a reference guide... but what DIY dude/dudette wants to aim their phone at QR code when they're in the middle of an install? No biggie - you're forwarned :-).All in all, I highly recommend the X10!
