F7G2B7WE 7" Full Touchscreen Double DIN Car Stereo

Everything was packaged nicely. So far unit is great. Install and setup was easy. It's nice and compact. Everything is labeled nicely.

After I had 2 Pioneer head units fail in the past few years (the 2nd only 2 months out of warranty) I decided it was time to try something different.I have seen some of the people I follow on youtube install Atoto head units in their cars so I thought maybe it was time for me to give them a chance.I settled on this Atoto A7 "The one with the flat front" I call it. Atoto has several different units called the A7 for some reason. It seemed to have all the features I wanted and I liked the looks of it.So far I am very impressed. First thing is the screen in excellent, it is sharp, vibrant, and has excellent contrast. The touch is as responsive as it needs to be, I have not noticed any issues with it. It is glossy, and a fingerprint magnet so keep a microfiber cloth handy but it is a joy to look at and use. It does not wash out even on a sunny day.Next the sound quality. I was really not expecting it to sound better than the big name stereo I had before, but it does. I had previously upgraded my door speakers with some Polk DB Series Speakers. The music from the A7 is clear, punchy, and undistorted. I was also able to fine tune the sound to my liking much faster than I ever have with any head unit I have had before. I do wish it had some subwoofer output adjustment though. It seems some F7's do but not this one for some reason.I found the user interface clear and easy to use. I can tell that some thought has been put into the design. The radio tuner works as it should, plenty of presets and the RDS information is nicely presented. The radio starts up quickly and it is easy to find the source you want. I wish there was an option to change the boot logo, but the ATOTO one is minimal, and does not look tacky like some logo's can.Next I moved on to Apple carplay as that is the mode that will be used the most for me. I started by plugging in and using wired carplay and was prompted with a nice question if I wanted to be able to use that phone with wireless carplay as well. I answered yes and continued. Wired carplay functioned smoothly. Then I unplugged and went into wireless carplay and it functioned smoothly as well, no setup needed on my part it was automatic after that initial prompt. Super nice!Overall I am very impressed with the head unit, I am confident you wont find anything better for the price. Also the included printed instructions are very nice. After placing the order, I realized I had selected a version with touch buttons rather than actual physical buttons. There are so many variations of the F7 and it wasn't obvious from the description. However, I was pleasantly surprised how well the touch buttons work in actual use. The screen looks good and only has the slightest laginess. I got this essentially for the android auto and that has been working well. The system automatically connects to my phone and starts android auto in about 20 seconds from starting the car. I do wish it was quicker but still not all that bad. Taking 1 star off because the sound quality isn't great. But android auto/ apple CarPlay at this price is a winner.
