This is a great updated car stereo. Allows you to use your phone for carplay and android auto in place of your outdated radio. Great for just about any older car. Easy to install and set up.

A Good Choice to Enhance Driving Experience

The wireless connection function of this stereo is excellent. CarPlay and Android Auto are automatically connected, so I don't need to be distracted to operate my mobile phone. The sound quality is also good. The FM/AM radio allows me to listen to news and music at any time. In short, it is an excellent choice to enhance driving experience.

Powerful Car Audio

I really like the real-time rear-view function and MirrorLink of this car stereo. It makes it safer and more convenient to use mobile phone functions while driving. The seven vibrant backlight colors are also great. Moreover, it is very easy to install and use. It is a very practical product.

You'll need to take a look at your dash first, but if it works buy this!

We are in the golden age of aftermarket DIN-mount in-car infotainment...the GOLDEN AGE! We had fold-out 6" mechanized radios in the 2000's that broke just after the warranty, they cost a literal fortune and in many cases required some of the most ridiculous mounting techniques to get them to work!This...is something else entirely...gone are the optical disk players or cassette transport units crammed into the dash, everything is wireless and digital now...we just need an extension of your phone mounted solidly in the dash of the car giving us access to "exactly how much information" we need at the time - that comes from CarPlay and Android Auto!This stereo mounts into a 1 DIN (single DIN) slot, a form-factor familiar to some of the oldest cars still on the road (not looking at you classic car collectors...stay with the OEM shaft-mounts, keep em' original!).If has a stationary 5" 800x480 color LCD screen, that sits "proud" by a couple inches vertically...so you need to determine if that's going to work with the contours of your dash and how willing are you to make accommodations and modifications to the car to utilize it. I determined that MOST cars and trucks with a single-din radio slot will accept this with no major modifications to the vehicle (like cutting plastic dash components), for a small number of others creatively mounting the radio an inch or so outside the normal mounting depth will fix the problem as well! Just take a good hard look at what's directly above your current single-DIN car stereo and see if you have about an inch or clearance.The operations of the radio are great, it's fast, includes wired and wireless versions of CarPlay and Android Auto, and provides a crisp hi-res screen that looks amazing for such a small screen size! It's the "retina display" of car stereos!This is a great solution for your single-DIN woes and getting a CarPlay or Android Auto stereo!

You phone battery is finally safe: If you get in the car with low battery on your phone, and you start driving using CarPlay/Android Auto, on many car stereos with only wired CarPlay/Android Auto, after the trip, the battery is barely charged, if at all. This problem does not exist with F7 WE. The reasons are with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, you can drive using CarPlay/Android Auto while plugging your phone into the USB port dedicated for charging in your vehicle, or putting it on the charging dock station.

Important:

  1. CarPlay compatibility: Wired CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models with iOS 7.1 or higher. Wireless CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models with iOS 9.0 or higher.
  2. Android Auto phone compatibility: Wired Android Auto is compatible with phones running Android 6.0 or higher. For wireless Android Auto, Compatible with Any Phone with Android 11.0, and Compatible with Samsung and Google phones with Android 10.0 (Google Pixel 4, Note 9, Note 20, and S10 have been tested to be compatible with wireless Android Auto on F7 WE). It also Compatible with below Samsung phones with Android 9.0 (S8 and Note 8 have been tested to be compatible with wireless Android Auto on F7 WE).
  3. Original USB cable for wired connection: If you choose to use wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto, factory/original USB cables are required. Non-manufacturer made USB cables may easily cause connection issues, such as black screen after minutes of playback, connection failure or unstable phone connection.

With very few smartphones with a curved screen, there may be a tiny black area on the 4 edges of F7G1A5WE's screen. This is caused by differences in firmware and the layout of the curved screen.

HD 720P rearview video display with Live Rear-View (LRV) feature

  • Typically, car stereos can only process and display 480-600 lines CVBS rearview video signals. F7G1A5WE displays HD 720P rearview videos (ATOTO AC-HD02LR rearview camera is required, sold separately). Say goodbye to snowy static pictures when reversing your vehicle.
  • Live Rear-View (LRV) - Now you can access the rear view even if your vehicle in moving ahead. This frees you from obstructions of passengers, headrests and the vehicle's roof and rear pillars, increasing the field of view and offering the driver a clear view of the lanes behind and common blind-spots. You can set one of the steering wheel keys as a shortcut for quick access.

For camera installation, consider the following:

  • Check camera compatibility with F7WE (details in manual).
  • Ensure the rear camera has a reversing signal wire for rear-view functionality.
  • Use a wiring/video signal converter if your factory cameras aren't CVBS or lack RCA output.
  • Connect the front camera to the car's fuse box for power and ground.

You phone battery is finally safe: If you get in the car with low battery on your phone, and you start driving using CarPlay/Android Auto, on many car stereos with only wired CarPlay/Android Auto, after the trip, the battery is barely charged, if at all. This problem does not exist with F7 WE. The reasons are with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, you can drive using CarPlay/Android Auto while plugging your phone into the USB port dedicated for charging in your vehicle, or putting it on the charging dock station.

Important:

  1. CarPlay compatibility: Wired CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models with iOS 7.1 or higher. Wireless CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models with iOS 9.0 or higher.
  2. Android Auto phone compatibility: Wired Android Auto is compatible with phones running Android 6.0 or higher. For wireless Android Auto, Compatible with Any Phone with Android 11.0, and Compatible with Samsung and Google phones with Android 10.0 (Google Pixel 4, Note 9, Note 20, and S10 have been tested to be compatible with wireless Android Auto on F7 WE). It also Compatible with below Samsung phones with Android 9.0 (S8 and Note 8 have been tested to be compatible with wireless Android Auto on F7 WE).
  3. Original USB cable for wired connection: If you choose to use wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto, factory/original USB cables are required. Non-manufacturer made USB cables may easily cause connection issues, such as black screen after minutes of playback, connection failure or unstable phone connection.

  • 5-inch Touchscreen: The 5-inch rectangular display with indented sides ensures minimal dashboard interference.
  • Compact chassis for more room: The chassis is only 50 mm deep, shorter than the typical depth. Therefore, there is a larger space for cabling and other accessories.
  • Extra accessories you may need to purchase: As this is a universally fit car stereo, extra accessories may be required to finish installation in a specific vehicle (not provided in the package). It is the buyer's responsibility to prepare them (if applicable). They may include (but are not limited to) a dash frame kit, a wiring harness, a radio antenna adapter, a data interface, etc.

  • AutoLink is compatible with the latest Android & iOS smartphone models.
  • You can run online GPS navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) or play videos on Youtube, etc. on F7G2A7WE's 7-inch screen.
  • Considering that neither CarPlay nor Andriod Auto is compatible with video apps such as YouTube, AutoLink provides an alternative option.
  • Important: Some video streaming services (Netflix, AMZ Prime, etc.) do not support MirrorLink.

With very few smartphones with a curved screen, there may be a tiny black area on the 4 edges of F7G1A5WE's screen. This is caused by differences in firmware and the layout of the curved screen.

HD 720P rearview video display with Live Rear-View (LRV) feature

  • Typically, car stereos can only process and display 480-600 lines CVBS rearview video signals. F7G1A5WE displays HD 720P rearview videos (ATOTO AC-HD02LR rearview camera is required, sold separately). Say goodbye to snowy static pictures when reversing your vehicle.
  • Live Rear-View (LRV) - Now you can access the rear view even if your vehicle in moving ahead. This frees you from obstructions of passengers, headrests and the vehicle's roof and rear pillars, increasing the field of view and offering the driver a clear view of the lanes behind and common blind-spots. You can set one of the steering wheel keys as a shortcut for quick access.

For camera installation, consider the following:

  • Check camera compatibility with F7WE (details in manual).
  • Ensure the rear camera has a reversing signal wire for rear-view functionality.
  • Use a wiring/video signal converter if your factory cameras aren't CVBS or lack RCA output.
  • Connect the front camera to the car's fuse box for power and ground.
