Good android add-on, adjustable backup line, around 10 mA standbye current

This is a nice radio when a dash kit is not available, or you don't want to modify your car too much. If you can handle the connection, then this is the best Unit I have tested.The installation is a bit more complex than other add-on units as it piggyback on the car fuse box instead of plugin in the power socket. This makes the installation of similar complexity than typical android auto in dash kit. Granted, you don't have to dismantle the dash, but you still have to route the power and backup camera wires, and connect the power. With dash kit, the wires are prebundled and usually just a connection to the original socket. Here the power is made through a connection to the fuse box, you just need to find the good fuses and orientation. This would typically be accessories and radio and since the unit draw under 1A, this is not a big concern. As this unit will be permanently wired, it will consume 15mA while in standby, my car electronic consumes 30 mA, so this is a significant addition if you leave your car parked for multiple days.The radio is slightly different from a typical Android head unit, some different software programs, and it runs faster than most units I tested. A Google account is required for installing software packages and making updates. A good deal of software is pre-installed, but you may wish to perform upgrades anyway. I recommend using a second google account as you may not want your primary account information to show on your radio, Chrome is available, thus calendar, email, photos and others would show up to whoever uses the car, or wait for you in the car while you put gas. This is basically an Android device, you can install regular software and all individual screens are actually individual software running. The cool part is that I can install software that connects to my Bluetooth battery monitor device, or my ELM327 ODBII module.

Awesome car stereo

This car stereo has 7" screen that has clear crisp picture. This included the steering wheel control and backup camera. This work seamlessly with iphone or Android. Great to have GPS navigation and bluetooth calling. Works great.
