S8 (Gen2) is the 2nd generation of ATOTO S8 Android car stereos. Its Soc applies a 12nm manufacturing process (higher efficiency, lower consumption), ARM Cortext Octa-Core processor (High performance), and the latest ATOTO AICE UI 11.0 (deep customization on Android Q). New ATOTO S8 can bring confidence and satisfaction under various operations. 3 options are available for internet access - Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth & USB Tethering (Traditional Android car stereos only have Wi-Fi option).

This could remove obstructions caused by headrests and the vehicle's rear pillars, increasing the field of view. It also applies latest 7-inch 1024*600 QLED display, a type of quantum film LED-backlit LCD technology that can greatly improve the color effect (Enhanced R.G.B display).

The S8 premium gen2 is a major upgrade to my vehicle. Excellent installation instructions

I like everything about the unit. It super flexible in the way you can set up the system you can run it as Android auto or Apple carply (mine is Android) bothe wired or wireless. Even better in my view is it can run as just an Android tablet allowing all the features of Android auto but with much more flexibility. I have Bluetooth internet via my phone, Spotify from downloaded play lists and via internet. I run Waze and google maps and plenty other apps. I've been using it now gor 3 weeks and it's perfe t. I chose ghe Agama car launcher as the front end and the whole thing is very classy. I definately recommend it.

Great value, ahead of the competition

Display has great visibility.Sound quality is good but occasionally a little quiet. I feel is just software/settings.Features are incredible for this price range. Android device which can download any apps, connects to my home wifi when at home or Personal hotspot whilst driving for full internet access.CarPlay works well with Spotify and maps connecting from phone to this device.Maps has good GPS signal.External antennas included for GPS and wifi.I have recommended to friends.

Impressive feature list, fast interface

I bought this unit to modernise my 2001 Honda CRV and its done a great job. Install was easy there were 3 different types of connection cables included in the box. I used one of the ISO type plugs and bought an adaptor loom specific for my car ($10 from local auto parts store) so I didn't have to cut / solder any wires the whole thing was plug and play.The interface is very fast and crisp its like using a modern android tablet. The boot up time is super quick as well it fires up basically as soon as you turn the key. I mainly use it for the apple carplay functionality and also the inbuilt radio. Another cool feature I found also was you can adjust the colour of the lighting on the buttons to match the interior of your car so the whole thing appears more integrated.The sound output is good even though I'm using the OEM speakers still, it sounds better than when they were driven by the factory head unit. Next upgrade will be some better speakers and add on the reverse camera!
