I like it a lot. it is nice to be on the bleeding edge with firmware updates.

The only thing I don’t like bout it… it don’t come with an remote 😩 I mean for all most $600 you’ll think it would 🙄

These were my requirements for my upgrade:Slightly bigger and brighter displayWireless Android AutoBackwards compatibility with my existing accessories.Ease of installationFast boot upI decided to go with Atoto x10 9 inch. The display obviously is a little bigger but the screen brightness is the biggest upside. I used to have trouble with the F7 during day time when the sun is pointing directly at the screen. That is not an issue with the x10. In addition, the image quality is also a big improvement. My F7 only had wired Android Auto. I had to get one of those dongles to get wireless AA. I would normally experience some disconnects and there were even times when I would get a blank screen. The x10 has wireless AA built in so no need for the dongle. It also connects faster than the dongle. Lastly, this head unit runs Android OS so AA may not even be needed for some people. It is almost like having an Android tablet as a head unit. The installation was a breeze. It was a lot easier than the F7. The F7 has a back that you have to stick into a single din. It is also where you have to plug in all the cables. My car technically is a double din so I had to find an adapter to make it work. So the process of removing the dash, installing the adapter, then plugging the cables, sticking in the back of the unit, then putting the dash back and finally installing the screen was a lot of work. The x10 came with a cage, I didn’t need an adapter. I only had to use the OEM mount that came with my car. Once the cage was installed, I put the dash back in, plug in the cables and secure the screen and I was done. Lastly, the harness for the F7 was the same as the x10 so no need to rewire. And the cables for my accessories were all there. Almost everything was plug and play. I only needed to find a place for the new components that the x10 came with like the GPS-Wifi antenna, 2 usb storage cables, and the sim card slot. Finally, one of the reasons why I went with the F7 in the past was that it was running a Linux OS instead of Android. Back then, Android head units had terrible boot times. As I mentioned earlier, the x10 runs Android OS but the boot up time is insanely fast. Android head units have gone a long way. I don’t know how Atoto did it.A few things I miss from my old F7. One thing that I miss the most is the x10’s lack of physical buttons. I didn’t think this was a big deal at first but now I kinda wish there are buttons, even just for the volume would have been great. There is a bluetooth remote accessory that can be purchased so maybe I’ll look into that in the future. You can also use voice commands but buttons are just better. The reverse camera guidelines are not adjustable unlike in the F7. I’m sure I'll get used to it so it's not a big deal. Lastly, I mentioned that I was able to use almost all of my accessories. The external mic that the F7 came with does not work with the x10. It looked like it was plug and play but when I had it plugged in, it gave an error message. The error message, by the way, was in Chinese and I had to use Google Translate to translate it. Also not a big deal since the onboard mic is good enough and there’s also an accessory available to be purchased if I ever need it in the future.Overall, I am extremely happy with the x10. It is fast and snappy. Loaded with a lot of features. The display is bright and looks great. Installation was so easy. I’m able to use almost all of my old accessories, the front and back camera, and my subwoofer.There are a lot of accessories you can add to it. It boots up so fast and connects to wireless Android Auto right away. There are a lot of great things this head unit can offer that I haven’t gone through like being able to watch YouTube, Netflix, install pretty much any android apps. It has an HDMI in port which means you can use this as a display for pretty much anything, a chromecast, a switch, even a PC. You can connect two bluetooth devices at the same time. Not to mention, this head unit comes with an AI. I can go on forever to talk about all the possibilities you can do with this head unit but this is kinda getting too long. If you are looking to upgrade from the F7 or other Atoto head units, the x10 is a great choice and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.Update: 12/29/2024 Atoto released a series of updates. Backup camera guidelines are now adjustable. You have to put the car on reverse and tap on the screen to adjust it. You can also adjust the lighting. Weather widget now has an option for fahrenheit for us in the US.

Update:I upgraded my review to 5 stars because...I emailed Atoto support to ask if they could change the weather widget from Celsius to Fahrenheit and it finally happened (took about a week & and a half after my initial request)!Additionally, they were helpful when I had a question about setting my favorite FM radio stations to a preset of my choosing.Thank you, Atoto!The 9" X10 has been a great upgrade to my Atoto S8. 2003 TundraPros: Wireless AA works so much better than the S8, although it still takes about a minute to connect The QLED screen is vibrant & bright. The main power & speaker connector is the same as the S8 so I did not have to purchase another wiring harness. The headunit points towards the driver (see pic) The OTA updates take the headache out of using a flash drive and making sure I have the correct files in the right folders. The new UI is much better than the S8Cons: When programming FM radio stations, I could not figure out how to set my favorite stations to the preset numbers I also could not figure out how to change the units of measure in the weather widget from celsius to fahrenheit. The S8 had a micro sd slot that I was using for my music, the X10 does not so I'm using the usb The display buttons disappear when using AASo far it has been a good decision to upgrade from the S8.
